help with my builds
I can't do a lot of damage with my builds. Can someone help me? I need to know which skills to put on or cap. I tried to search but it kept saying page cannot be displayed a million times so I gave up. I'm looking for good builds to farm with. I can change my second profession to anything, and I have access to all the worlds. Thank you.

Are you solo farming? If so, drop Resurrect.
Attunenments are for energy management, do you suffer from a lack of energy?
No healing whatso ever, do you die often?
Are you facing enemies that are resistance to certain types of elemental damage?
You have meteor, not meteor shower?
No elites under Earth Magic build.
Hope these questions you have already considered, if not please think about them and see how to improve your build (Aura of Restoration, Ether Prodigy/Renewal/Elemental Attunement, etc.)

Your builds are "ok" but need more work. As has been stated already energy management for an ele is paramount. Personally, I find Air / Earth / Water / Fire Attunement + Glyph of Lesser Energy to be fine...although if you still cannot manage your energy well with those then take an Energy Storage elite such as Elemental Attunement. You seem to have just packed in a mass of damage spells when it is possible to deal the same amount of damage with less...allowing you to fit in Energy Management skills.
Your fire build could be made considerably better by using Glowing Gaze with Searing Flames to gain more energy back. Personally I am loving the elite [wiki]Mind Blast[/wiki]. This skill provides you with fantastic energy management.
If you're wanting to farm I would suggest looking more at the earth magic line. Earth Magic has good defense spells such as Armor of Earth / Kinetic Armor / Stoneflesh Aura etc... There will be plenty of Ele farming builds in the Farming seection on this forum.
Have fun

You could defiantly use an Attunement somewhere in those builds. Like someone mentioned above, when using the SF build bring glowing gaze to help with energy management. The 15 energy cost of SF can wear down your strength very quickly, and for SF to even be effective it will need to applied many times over the duration of a battle.

-Attunements.
-GoLE whenever able.
-You don't need that many damage skills on the air ele.
-On SF all you need it Searing, Glowing Gaze, and Liquid Flame. THAT'S IT. Having too many skills on a SF literally makes you bad, because you want to have SF going off every two seconds, with only one second casts in between. I'd suggest those three skills, Glyph of Lesser Energy, Fire Attune, Aura of Resto, and then whatever, a hard rez or purge condi.
-Actually, all your builds are overloaded with attack skills. Bring attune and GoLE, and drop some of them.
If you're trying to solo farm with an ele, you're going in the totally wrong direction. There's a few lesser known solo farm builds that give decent payoff. Check out the Dragon Moss farming in this forum, that's a pretty good one to start.

on an air ele, if you have lightning hammer, you really dont need ANY other damage skills... you could alternate between javelin, hammer and bolt (for special situations) and be fine, the others should be either enervating for weakness or blinding flash for blind and energy management.
in general you have WAY to many attacks, not enough utility, not enough energy management... im a little bit to lazy to go through everything i deem wrong in your builds but start with more utility and energy management
also are you not lvl 20?

Some good info given here regarding e-management and optimizing your builds
Like Trylo, I'm wondering what level your ele is? Or do you not like running runes?
I would strongly recommend getting a head piece for each element and then adding the respective superior rune to each. This will up your damage which is always nice

you have absolutely 0 energy management on any of your bars, which is why they're so terrible.
Not to mention that for farming, you're just going to have some level 28 7 man mob touch you and you'll explode.

Sorry for bumping this, I havent been on in a while.
I got my ele up to lvl 20 and quit playing her, I don't have a lot of expirecne with ele. I also got ran throug ande to most places, allowing me to get some elites. The reason why I posted this thread was for suggestions, not to make a joke, thank you.
@ Pick Me: Yes, I did consider those things. I wanted to ask about them before I wasted my skill points.
I'm not talking about solo farming btw.

personally i like my ele bar to be somewhere between 3/4 spell attacks, 2 utility, 1/2 energy management, maybe 1 defensive skill, sac/chant or rez
spells like [skill]Mind Blast[/skill], [skill]Water Trident[/skill], [skill]Unsteady Ground[/skill], [skill]Mind Shock[/skill], [skill]Mind Freeze[/skill], [skill]Blinding Surge[/skill] can fill multiple roles on your bar (hence the elite status). Some non elite skills for multiple roles i would suggest are [skill]Enervating Charge[/skill], [skill]Ebon Hawk[/skill], [skill]Glowing Gaze[/skill], [skill]Glowstone[/skill], [skill]Earthquake[/skill], [skill]Chilling Winds[/skill]. (almost ALL water spells fall under this category, btw.)
try to find some builds with some of the skills i suggested, you might realize eles are MUCH more than damage. watch a warrior stop moving from a chilling winds --> mind freeze combo that lasts for 15+ seconds. try some wards out, start expiramenting.
